We are general business brokers and have provided our services to a variety of industries. We appreciate that each industry and business has unique characteristics, but we are not looking at the business as a personal acquisition, or one that we are personally investing in, but as advisors or intermediaries. While we may have the expertise to operate the business, it is not necessary that we know all the nuances of the business to provide our guidance.
For our business sales engagements, for example, it is most important that we properly present and market the business for the highest price. It’s most important that we compile, analyze, and favorably present the attributes of the business to a potential buyer, to pique his interest and encourage him to make an offer. We don’t have to have the ability to personally operate the business; we have to understand the business well enough to sell the business.
We have both the experience, resources, personal technical skills, and inquisitiveness to handle any engagement, even in an industry that is new to us. If we don’t know, we will find out!
